Organic Golden Milk Tea

Golden milk, or Haldi Doodh as it is known in India, is a turmeric based tea in the Ayurvedic tradition. Originally a simple combination of cow’s milk, turmeric, black pepper, and oil, this rich drink has evolved to include other healthful spices and flavorings such as ginger and cinnamon.
Aroma and Flavor: Warming and rooty turmeric aroma with a gentle spicy body and smooth finishing notes. Caffeine free.
Ingredients: Organic turmeric root, organic ginger root, organic coconut flakes, organic cardamom hulled, organic cassia cinnamon chips, organic black peppercorns, and organic pink rose petals.
Brew Instructions: Fill 1 Tablespoon of tea in a cloth tea bag or mesh basket and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes or until desired strength is reached.
Alternately: Put 2 Tablespoons in a medium saucepan with milk or milk alternative and gently simmer for 10-12 minutes for a more traditional, stronger decoction.
Precautions: Consumption of black pepper should not exceed small amounts for use as a spice.
Organic Turmeric Chai
